MTST Group was asked to assist Enviropower who had unfortunately suffered a substantial fire within their wood processing building.

The building had suffered extreme heat damage and so following the stripping of all of the cladding and sheeting rails a structural survey was carried out, some of the steel members had distorted in the fire and so these were fabricated and installed by us.

We also supplied and installed new Kingspan sheeting rails and composite cladding to all sides and the roof. During this refurbishment our client decides to move the overhead crane control panel and so we designed a high level cantilevered control room that could be accessed off of the high level walkway.

This refurbishment also included two fire containment walls using 175mm thick Kingspan Composite panels with structural cladding rails and the removal of an internal building column, to enable this to happen we needed to install two back to back 20mtr structural trusses that spanned three building columns, with this all installed we were able to remove the 14mtr high centre column.

The refurbishment is now complete and our client is operational
